The DWMW crew visits the strange teal world of Recurra, where glowing forests, crystal ravines, floating staircases, and impossible symbols suggest that reality is once again refusing to behave. Mike, Otto, Bob, and Dan find themselves drawn toward a mysterious ravine of strange pillars and an empty pedestal that clearly used to hold something important. But in true DWMW fashion, nobody knows what is missing, why it matters, or whether touching anything will summon a cosmic problem with excellent timing. As the planet hums with hidden memory and unfinished business, the crew begins to suspect that “The Kid” may not be gone after all. Something is waiting. Something is returning.
