A group, a band Of merry men, Who laugh and work and Serve the pen. It is with awe I walk among These mighty ones Of great renown, I watch them build - With great aplomb - Monuments Of times to come. Emerging from the depths Of fate I stand Bemused My heart aflame
On high I stand for all displayed, An acrobat, a little maid. Carefully, carefully, on the rope, One step, two step, I must cope. Up above the world I play, One step, two step, watch me sway. I’m balancing unsteadily, Light, lightly; don't tread heavily. The winds of change around me roar, Pandora's box falls to the floor. The joy, the wild, exultant tide! It spins me round—I fall, I hide. At last, once more, the world is still, My friends have gone; it’s cold and chill. Poor battered hope spreads out its wing Unfurls, and softly starts to sing.

All the time in the world To do nothing at all But drift through the void Gazing into it No danger No urgency No habit Just the chaos of everything And nothing All at once Around me everywhere Grand Central Station Coming and going With boney fingers And broad shoulders The everyday heros Bearing their burdens Pulling their weight But i float Aimless Through the crowd Wondering

Pacing in the Cold winds of dawn, Wet grasses clutch my ankles like Macabre fingers— A thousand scrawny ghouls clawing their way From the putrid depths of The Dreaming. Water soaks my sneakers, my toes Squish disturbingly, as though I tread Through fields of spilt intestines, Bodily fluids oozing through The canvas. Above, the full moon shines, Silent. Silver light spilling over the earth, Sparkling, dancing Merrily, in the cold Winds of dawn.
We walk in darkness, shadows deep, Misunderstood, yet still we keep Reaching out from heart’s cold well, But hope will fade before they tell. Unseen, our truth around us falls, Like water behind fragile walls, Rejection swells, the dam may crack, Humiliation pushing back. Within the flood we find our strength, Hold back the storm - throughout the length And breadth of day, we hold on tight - And then survive the endless night. Long days we walk in shadows still, Our hearts, though heavy, find their will.
