I came to sit with you awhile, You offered tea and shared a smile. You helped me learn to play the game— I fumbled, yet you stayed the same. Slowly now, I see your moves: Castles, oracles, and hooves. Some arrive, dancing the groove; Others leave, do not approve. As for me, I love this realm, The town that lifts, the steady helm. Spirits undone, the front removed, A place where kindness is behooved. Though I struggle in my mind To learn the ropes, the clues to find, I persevere, my heart sincere, To bring to others hope and cheer.
