A really great talk I had with @OttoEx who is a lot more cautious about the future of "artificial intelligence" than I am. https://youtu.be/DrjIKg8YXBY?si=KTLOAKLUSlWjFA3G Living on planet earth is an iffy business Not many of us get through life unscathed Part of PTSD is the shock of being face to face with our mortality Part of overcoming the long-term effects of PTSD is developing The strength of mind (via the practice of meditation and mindfulness which leads to radical acceptance) To proceed through this dangerous and uncertain life With equanimity and confidence Despite the uncertainty and fear of our imminent demise. Last week my son had open heart surgery The man who went into the operating theatre Is not the same man As the man Who I am interacting with today. Living on planet earth is an iffy business And the advent of ai In your world Could be wonderful Or traumatic. Who will you be tomorrow?
