Medium is working hard to bring a POS/POW hybrid base-layer blockchain that can communicate with other block-chains instantly ! Lets break the language barrier !
We are mostly focusing on testing with the Ghostrider Hashing Algorithm ( originating from the Raptoreum Block-Chain ) for its resilience and efficiency. We feel CPU mining could obtain more geographical decentralization. Feel free to share your opinion on ideal hashing algos and why !
After analyzing best methods for decentralization and maintaining the chain security that comes with it, Medium is currently looking at adopting a Proof-of-stake model along side Proof-of-work to process blocks. Here's to keeping crypto seamless and accessible !
