How to recognize and report phishing websites or fake tokens
Security is essential at MintMe.com. Here’s how to stay safe by spotting phishing attempts and fake tokens — plus how to report anything suspicious.
How to recognize phishing websites:
Scam websites may try to mimic MintMe.com. Here's how to spot them
- Always double-check the address — the only official site is: https://www.mintme.com
- Don’t enter your password anywhere except our official platform
- Watch for unusual behavior like unexpected pop-ups, login redirects, or bad formatting
- Avoid links shared through unofficial chats, emails, or social media posts
Note:
- We’ll never ask you for your password, seed phrase or private key via email or DMs.
How to recognize fake tokens:
Fake tokens may try to copy real ones or look misleading. Here’s how to verify if a token is legitimate:
- In case of popular tokens, make sure the smart contract address matches the official one from their website or CoinMarketCap.
- For tokens listed on MintMe through our token listing request form, creators are required to announce the listing on their official X (Twitter) account or other social channels — look for that confirmation.
Note:
- You can also review the creator’s profile and post activity on MintMe to get a better idea of their authenticity.
How to report scams or phishing attempts:
If you come across a suspicious token or website, report it to us at: support@mintme.com
Please include:
- The link to the suspicious website or token
- A short explanation of what seems wrong
- Screenshots (if available)
We’ll investigate quickly and take necessary action.
