How to burn tokens or reduce your token’s total supply

Once a token is created on MintMe.com, the total supply is fixed and cannot be changed through any built-in function. However, there is still a way to effectively reduce the number of tokens in circulation.

How to burn tokens

If your token is deployed on an ERC-20 compatible blockchain (such as Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Base, or Avalanche), you can burn tokens (remove them permanently from circulation) by sending them to the following address:

0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Notes:

Tokens sent to this address are permanently removed from circulation and cannot be recovered.
This method only works for ERC-20 compatible chains.
